The Italian restaurant is a mix of incredible atmosphere, lighting, taste, smells, sounds, and culinary excellence. I had a glass of red wine, fresh garden salad with crushed pepper, and a “heavy” mostaccoli steak pasta.

I wasn’t really impressed with the entree, it looked good, tasted alright, was the right temperature, but was just rather bland. It needed more spice, more cheese, more flavor!

The service was incredible, and the flamboyant Italian with the movie star hair was fast and courteous. Tip your servers well here.

I didn’t have any room left for desert, so until next time!

For a Wednesday night, which is usually the worst night of the week in LA, Ma’Kai delivers an exciting and engaging beachside atmosphere. We’ve visited Ma’Kai before and enjoyed it this past May. There were dozens of some of LA’s sexiest girls and guys. Last night was a little ruff, an intoxicated hispanic gentleman got up in my friend’s face, then took his shirt off and was ready to throw down. Lucky for him I wasn’t in a fighting mood – just an LA Restaurant Daily state of mind

Vegas baby! Swingers is a great movie and so is this restaurant. Try it. Your stomach won’t regret and neither will your pocket book.

Swingers restaurant has an awesome California feel. The restaurants logo is iconic. The wait staff is funky. The food delicious. We had the Hell’s Kitchen mixed omllete (didn’t have much hell fire in it – so I had to add a lot of hot sauce), some sort of vegie burrito, and a stuffed grilled cheese sandwich with avocado. The california hamburger on the menu looked pretty good too.

Santa Monica has incredible restaurants and a lively night life.

Ma’kai nightclub was packed last Friday night with hot young Santa Monicans and Angelinos. The DJ captured the crowd with top 10 beats and some electronic dance music. There were a handful of beautiful LA blondes who were either UCLA students or recent college grads. The sexy santa monica girls were out in full force at Makai in Santa Monica. When I first arrived the crowd to enter was non-existent. By 11 pm the crowd had surged to around 50 people or so waiting to get into a densely packed dance floor.

A group of 40 something year old women – who all looked like they were in pretty good shape. However, one of the clumsy soccery moms was dancing and knocked over a glass of champaign all over our table. She actually reached into her wallet and gave me $20 to pay for the accident. I grabbed that scribble and headed for the bar!
