Caffee Etc 6371 Selma Ave LA CA 90028 (323) 464-8824
Caffe Etc. is a quaint restaurant located in Hollywood on Cahuenga and Selma. There are meat, vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
My favorite thing about eating at Caffe Etc is how I feel afterwards. No matter what I order I feel good! There are “healthy” choices. For example, my Sundried Tomato Panini ($10.75) came on wheat toast with a side salad of mixed greens and a balsamic vinegrette dressing. I also had a Chunky Chicken Salad ($9.95 Whole) that had beautiful white meat chicken chunks, tomatoes, celery, white onion & lemon juice. This sat on a bed of baby mixed greens. The portion was HUGE (see pic). The special treat for after your meal is the gelatto. My favorite was the Pomello and Coacoa. The flavors were so strong and again, not leaving me feeling bad after eating it.
The service was very friendly and knowledgable. They can immediately tell you about the ingredients, whether it is Kosher, Vegan, Vegetarian or their favorite on the menu! The atmosphere was very comfortable. Seating with a wide selection of magazines and wi-fi internet to keep you entertained with your fresh cup of coffee for hours. The drinks offered are specialty coffees (blended, iced or hot), regular drip coffee, espresso, tea, hot chocolate and smoothies!
Def stop at Caffe Etc if you are in the area. Bring your coworkers here for lunch! Eat in or take out! Free delivery is available for the immediate area with a $20 minimum order.

Noodle Planet – Westwood Village – A Spicy Taste of Space
Imagine slurping down a sea full of wonders. Then picture that sea with fireworks. That was my reaction when I first took a bite of the Seafood Tom Yum at the Noodle Planet restaurant in Westwood Village. This soup is filled with the delights of the ocean. Shrimp, squid, sweet fake crab meat, fish cake, fish balls and muscles come together in perfect harmony. Then comes the fire crackers, a sneaky dash of chili paste is tucked away underneath the delightful meaty fish cake. The cool qualities of cilantro calm the spice from the paste. The broth has a sour tinge to it, giving the skinny white noodle a sour after tone along with the spice from the chilies. There is also the incense of lemon grass floating in the broth, giving it a succulent tang. I slurped the soup down to its last bit of noodle.
Since the day was nuclear and I panted from the heat it gave off, I ordered an ice tea. The drink was nice and flavorful. Deep in rich dark flavor with a tang from the wedge of lime that was at the bottom of the glass.
Now it is time for the dessert. Many people would get their fruity drinks with tapioca bombs floating about giving the drink a sweet new taste that will shock you out of your system. But what if your not in a mood for a dessert drink, perhaps you would prefer a sweeten sticky rice with mango or the mysterious durian? I highly recommend the mango for those who are more cautious. Durian in my opinion taste like a fart in a mouth but that is my opinion.*Not sure if I should keep this sentence in or not*.
The restaurant has a bland appearance, with a mobile of the solar system surrounded by red booths and tables. Service is always served with a smile and fast so you wouldn’t die from starvation from the wait. I looked around to see what my fellow patrons were eating; bowls of soup were being carried around by the friendly servers. I noticed that there are also rice dishes and soup less noodle dishes. Appetizers look scrumptious as well. In my opinion, this restaurant is worth going to, if you want a simple bowl of noodles.

Father’s Office – 3229 Helms Ave. Los Angeles CA – Burgers & Beer
Father’s Office serves an incredible burger – where it comes from I don’t know. I ordered up their high-end burger, sweet potato french fries, and was also given a salad by accident. After adding some crushed pepper to the salad it tasted great. Father’s Office is an ultra modern bar off of Venice Blvd. near Culver City. The outside seating deck is composed of polished wood and heat lamps in the ceiling. You order all your food at the bar and they card just about every patron that enters the bar. It’s a little annoying, they always have to ask every patron, “Have you been here before? You know how it works?” Yes, thank you; I’ve consumed food in restaurant establishments before – I should be able to figure it out. However, there are no hosts, no waiters, and it’s generally a little frustrating.
There is no order in Father’s Office, hence the name I believe. But check out the amazing selection of beers they have. I was told not to take a photo of their beer selection after snapping a photo.
The burger with sweet potato french fries cost $20 and I left a $1 tip. I was at first shocked, but then I remember the other two times I had been there and they had also been quite expensive. Is it worth it? I don’t know – depends on the size of your wallet. If you are going to make it out to Father’s Office, you need to come in the evening when the outside heaters are on, people are getting drunk, and you can enjoy the scene. It’s certainly a unique night scene. Lots of good looking people, professionals, and great food.
Check out Father’s Office on twitter or check out their google restaurant review.

Big Tommy’s – 11289 W Pico Blvd – American cuisine and affordably priced – Free parking
Big Tommy’s is a finely tuned grease pit where the employees turn out some pretty great food. I had a cheese burger, dr. pepper, fries, hot peppers, and tons of ketschup. The employees were fast, the kitchen looks clean, and there is plenty of parking. Additionally, there is a marijuana dispensary, best buy, and great beauty salon on the corner: Margarita’s beauty salon.

Los angeles restaurant – Cafe Brasil – 10831 Venice Boulevard – (310)-837-8957
Cafe Brasil is a small, quaint, cozy, delicious, and well run little gem on Venice blvd. in West LA. The staff is friendly, the food is rich in flavor, ingredients, and variety. This friday night my sister and I went to taste their fares with the assistance of a Restaurant.com coupon for $25. Unfortunately, we ended up in the wrong restaurant – but it ended up being a taste bud blessing from God.
We originally meant to go to the restaurant Bamboo restaurant which is right next door. We had the fortunate pleasure of going to Cafe Brasil by accident. After reviewing the menu I was immediately impressed. There are dishes I’ve never seen before.
We ordered what seemed like a lot of food, but what ended up being the perfect amount. We ordered:
Tlapia - it didnt appear on the menu but must have been on the specials (which I didnt see). It came with rice and black beans. ($15.95)
Soup of the day – vegetable soup that was thick, tasty, and fresh. ($4.45)
Risoli - shaped crust prepared with buttermilk, flour stuffed with beef and lightly deep friend. ($2.00)
Drink – St Tropez – Grenadine & Fresh Lemonade (beverage of the gods)
Salad – fresh garden salad with a 1/4 lemon and sweet mustardy dressing
Below is Cafe Brasil’s fabulous menu:
