Food Truck Franchise

Monday, Jul 26, 2010

Food truck franchises are one of the fastest growing sectors in the franchise industry. Food truck operators in Los Angeles earn an average income of around $100,000 a year or more with their mobile restaurants. No permits, licenses, or retail store front leases are needed. If you want to quickly start selling “food” or “product” you can be up and running your own food truck in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Seattle, Chicago, or Houston. Additionally, instead of purchasing a franchise from a successful Los Angeles food truck, you can purchase a food truck business.

Call: (312) 560-0175 or email Support@FoodTruckFranchise.com for more information. The Food Truck Franchise is part of a Banner Blindness Venture Capital investment.

In 2008 I started a company called “The Bread Bar” with the intention of eventually having a fleet of Gourmet Trucks. I spent about 8 months custom building a prototype and received license to operate it from the San Diego Department of Health. In August 2008 we test marketed this unit for a month.

Due to personal reasons, I made a decision not to go forward with this project. The unit has been in storage at a garage in La Jolla for the last 2 years. I am anxious to either sell the unit or partner with someone who would operate it.

A food van works well with minimal costs and no long-term lease commitments. It also offers you the opportunity to try different locations.

You can operate the unit in a permanent location such as a gas station, a shopping center, or wherever you find the right kind of traffic. You can also attend various events or farmer’s markets, or a combination of a permanent location during the week, and events on the weekend.

Should you like to talk further please feel free to contact me at 858/ 459-2577.

Spicy BBQ Restaurant

Wednesday, Jul 14, 2010

There’s nothing like a BBQ in summer, and here at Spicy BBQ Restaurant, it’s summer year round. Cheap delicious food in a hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a perfect way to enjoy the afternoon. It’s very small and they don’t take reservations, so if you don’t want to wait, avoid the lunch hour rush and other peak times. If you do end up waiting, it’ll definitely be worth it.

Both American and Asian foods are on the menu, so you can try their barbequed spare ribs or northern Thai dishes. Ever tried jackfruit? If not, you’re in for a treat. This exotic fruit can be found on the menu. It’s a meat dish, but this being a Thai restaurant, they’ll happily make it vegetarian for you.

The outside isn’t that nice to look at and the inside isn’t anything special, but the food is fantastic. There isn’t a lot of wait staff. You might have one person doing everything, from taking your order, cooking, and taking your cash, no credit cards accepted. Multitasking is the name of the game and they seem to do it pretty well.

Providence

Monday, Jul 12, 2010

The saying you get what you pay for has never been more true than now. Providence is an expensive restaurant, but it’s worth the splurge. The menu changes often, so you’ll always have delicious dishes to choose from. The Asian food isn’t the only good thing about Providence, the bar is certainly worth a visit as well as one of the best bartenders in LA works there. The service is no less than spectacular, which is what you’d expect from a five star restaurant.

A classy restaurant that demands that you dress properly to get in, you’ll be spoiled by the wait staff from the moment you walk in the door. Always attentive to your needs, your waiter will make sure that you have a wonderful dining experience. While the menu might look intimidating, the waiters will happily help you choose a dish to your tastes.

The chefs’ tasting menu ought to be tried, if you have the time. Only the best is chosen and the dishes change often so that you’ll be able to try a wide variety of Asian fusion dishes. If you’d like to eat at Providence, make sure you make a reservation or you might be waiting for quite a long time to get a table at this popular restaurant. It’ll take a few hours for you to get through your meal, but you’re guaranteed to enjoy every mouthful.

Tibet Nepal House

Saturday, Jul 10, 2010

If you’re tired of the same Asian cuisine, then you’ve got to try eating Tibet Nepal House. Authentic food and great service makes this restaurant stand out among the rest. At $9, the lunch buffet offers the perfect chance to try out the various dishes and not have to worry about expenses. The food is similar to Indian food, but not as spicy. The lunch buffet has about five dishes, as well as sides such as rice, pita bread, and veggies.

The restaurant is super small, so don’t go with a large party. Your best bet is to get it to go. The décor is pretty zen-like with a Buddha and water fountain to add to the experience. Vegetarians will enjoy this place as they’ll have lots of options to choose from. Like the lunch buffet, the rest of the menu has reasonable prices, you’ll eat well and have enough left over to go to a movie afterward.

Their website offer five pages of photos and explanations of the dishes, so you can choose what you want before you go. The Aloo Achaar, which is potato with spices, is delicious and filling. They’ve got lamb, seafood, chicken, and even goat meat to choose from. Their Nariwal Jhinge Machha at $15 is a bit expensive, but if you consider that it’s shrimp with coconut milk and spices, it’s a steal.

Pho Pasteur

Friday, Jul 09, 2010

If you’ve never had pho, you have no idea what you’re missing. Putting ramen to shame, pho is a hot Asian noodle dish that’s a meal on its own served with a bit of lemon to give it a kick. Served steaming hot and smelling delicious, you’ll be ready to risk burning your tongue to try it. They’ve got the standard eggrolls that you can order as well as a three-color drink.

Prices are pretty low, so you won’t have to keep a running total in your head. A large only costs 50 cents more than a small, so you’re better off ordering a large. If you can’t finish it yourself, go with a friend and split the costs to be even more cost efficient.

Bamboo décor adds to the peaceful environment, however, due to its popularity, the wait staff will be hurrying between the kitchen and the tables, serving and bussing food and giving people their checks. True to its nature, service is fast, no sooner have you ordered, taken a sip of your water and your waiter is back with a steaming bowl of pho so you can chow down.

Noodle King

Thursday, Jul 08, 2010

Their name says it all, heaps of noodle dishes on the menu and at the low prices, you’ll come back here more than once to try out the options they have available. Their Beef Stew Noodle is a pretty popular dish. When you see it on many tables, you know that it’s got to be good. Asian flaire is here at the Noodle King. It’s a Taiwanese restaurant, so you can find typical dishes, such as wontons, pot stickers, and fried rice. Freshly made and fried to perfection, you’ll be tempted to gobble them all up before the main dishes arrive. At their cheap prices, you could easily take home a couple of appetizers or main dishes to eat the next day so you don’t have to cook.

As is with many places in LA, there’s simply not enough space. This translates into a very small restaurant with only two big tables and a few smaller ones spread out throughout the restaurant. That being said, the food is so good, you should at least try it, even if you have to get it to go.

If you’re looking for a Taiwanese restaurant to satisfy your cravings, then Noodle King is the place to go. Fast service, low prices and good food make it popular among customers who keep coming back for more.

Imagine slurping down a sea full of wonders. Then picture that sea with fireworks. That was my reaction when I first took a bite of the Seafood Tom Yum at the Noodle Planet restaurant in Westwood Village. This soup is filled with the delights of the ocean. Shrimp, squid, sweet fake crab meat, fish cake, fish balls and muscles come together in perfect harmony. Then comes the fire crackers, a sneaky dash of chili paste is tucked away underneath the delightful meaty fish cake. The cool qualities of cilantro calm the spice from the paste. The broth has a sour tinge to it, giving the skinny white noodle a sour after tone along with the spice from the chilies. There is also the incense of lemon grass floating in the broth, giving it a succulent tang. I slurped the soup down to its last bit of noodle.

Since the day was nuclear and I panted from the heat it gave off, I ordered an ice tea. The drink was nice and flavorful. Deep in rich dark flavor with a tang from the wedge of lime that was at the bottom of the glass.

Now it is time for the dessert. Many people would get their fruity drinks with tapioca bombs floating about giving the drink a sweet new taste that will shock you out of your system. But what if your not in a mood for a dessert drink, perhaps you would prefer a sweeten sticky rice with mango or the mysterious durian? I highly recommend the mango for those who are more cautious. Durian in my opinion taste like a fart in a mouth but that is my opinion.*Not sure if I should keep this sentence in or not*.

The restaurant has a bland appearance, with a mobile of the solar system surrounded by red booths and tables. Service is always served with a smile and fast so you wouldn’t die from starvation from the wait. I looked around to see what my fellow patrons were eating; bowls of soup were being carried around by the friendly servers. I noticed that there are also rice dishes and soup less noodle dishes. Appetizers look scrumptious as well. In my opinion, this restaurant is worth going to, if you want a simple bowl of noodles.
